Impossible Rags (1991-1995)

Ragtime deconstructed! Suite for two Disklaviers.

Impossible Rags are performed on two Yamaha Disklaviers. Although they never quite lose their traditional piano rag identities, the music is varied by algorithmic and aleatoric procedures and the result is piano rags with occasional streaks of wonderful madness.
