Difficult Joys : Performance Text

Under here, there is yelloworange glasslight.

Suddenly quiet, and lightful. I swim like a

trooper a foot from the bottom, gathering

eyefuls of browngreen shafts of light. Day

falls in and tries to get me. I gasp with

pleasure and plunge again. Swimming

upstream I watch the the depth go greenerdeep.

It is like the only aloneness I desire.

Something in my bellypit turns faster than

I can arch in the water. Down.
