Jools Gilson-Ellis - Artistic Director
Jools Gilson-Ellis is a choreographer, writer, performer and installation artist, whose work is largely realised through a collaboration with the composer and digital artist Richard Povall, and their company half/angel (www.half/angel.ie).
half/angel develops projects involving new technologies, sound, poetic text and performance. Gilson-Ellis' work has been performed and exhibited internationally, and she has received bursaries and awards from the Arts Council of Ireland, Arts Council of England, ResCen (Centre for Research into Creation in the Performing Arts), the Ésmee Fairbairn Foundation and others.
Her work has been co-produced by the Banff Centre for the Arts and the Institute for Choreography & Dance.
She holds a PhD in Theatre & Performance Studies from the University of Surrey, and has taught performance at the University of Hull, Dartington College of Arts and University College Cork.
She lives and works in Cork, Ireland.

Richard Povall - Artistic Director
Richard Povall is a digital artist, composer and researcher, Artistic Director of half/angel (with Jools Gilson-Ellis), and a Director of Aune Head Arts in the UK. His work centres on the making of intelligent environments for performance and installation. He has held Senior Research Fellowships at Middlesex University (London) and at Dartington College of Arts, where he is currently a Creative Enterprise Fellow (he was Senior Lecturer/Research Fellow in New Performance Media from 1994-96). He has taught in numerous colleges and universities, and was Director of the Division of Contemporary at Oberlin Conservatory of Music in the US from 1997-1999.
He holds a BA(Hons) in Music from Dartington College of Arts, an MFA in Music Composition and Electronic Media from the Center for Contemporary Music at Mills College (Calif., USA), and a PhD from the University of Plymouth.
He lives in the southwest of England, on the edge of Dartmoor.

Margaret Kennedy - Administrative Assistant
Margaret Kennedy started her career as a Social Care Worker, with the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the Southern Health Board, where she specialised in working with young people from a range of backgrounds.
Since 2003, Margaret has been re-training, and is interested in working in the arts sector. Margaret is currently employed as the Administrative Assistant with half/angel.
